Call 911

When you are a victim of or witness a crime, always, always call 911. Be prepared to give the exact street address of where the crime took place and other details about the incident.

If you don’t call 911, the incident will not be included in the CompSTAT database which the police use to track crime trends. Using the exact street address (instead of "corner of Main and Broad," for instance) is essential to creating accurate statistical information for the police.

In addition, you may also report non-emergency issues directly to the police by entering a Roll Call Complaint on the Philadelphia Police Department web site.

Roll Call Complaints provide a means for informing patrol officers of chronic neighborhood problems or conditions that are not of an emergency nature.
